Brief Description:This project was competitively tendered over Christmas 2007 and with a return date of 27th December 2007. The Contract was awarded on the 2nd January 2008 with an immediate start.
The priority was to get the function suite completed in readiness for various events that were programmed. The Works involved the complete strip out within the live hospital and new fit out of all services, rewiring, new ceilings and all new finishes including a specialist contractors design acoustic controlled lighting installation using state of the art LED's. Design & Innovation: The designer was critical to the aesthetics and finishes in the project and CG provided assistance with integration of acoustic lighting and the use of colour changing up lighters to display the wall surfaces.
The lighting was linked to the music interface so the room could be used for multipurpose activities. The carpet was a bespoke weave which we assisted the client in obtaining as a one-off design. The wall images were chosen by the architect and integrated using Muraspec vinyl image wall coverings. Client: Guys & St Thomas’ NHS Trust
