This project was to construct an extension to the school to allow for the installation of a new lift. The scope included construction of a new entrance ramp and canopy, alterations to the ground, first and second floor classrooms and refurbishment of existing toilet facilities.

Project Name

CG Interiors were originally commissioned to carry out the soft strip demolitions and builders work on the existing building. Additional work packages included: - roofing, flooring, new internal block work walls, suspended ceilings, plastering, painting and decorating, structural openings for a new lift installation and new services including the renewal of major plant on the roof were also undertaken.

Billericay Police Station

Project Name

Billericay Police Station was converted by CG Interiors to conform to the Disability Discrimination Act. We removed the existing ramp, front entrance steps, entrance doors and public counter. We converted the existing office, formed a new disabled toilet facility along with other internal office alterations to assist disabled persons accessibility.

Brief Description: The Works were in the main carried out to Georgian and Victorian style properties for complete houses or flats to a high standard of finish.

The finishes used in the renovation works were traditional materials with fibrous plaster and lime mortar being key components.

The kitchens and bathrooms areas were brought up to high modern standards with clean lines and effective storage space.

The old fireplaces were sympathetically restored where possible to provide character with the main living areas with soft warm lighting designed into the space.

Design & Innovation: The design is banded into 3 groups Bronze, Silver and Gold dependant on location and rentable value.

All properties received new kitchens and bathrooms and most have mechanical and electrical upgrades incorporating new energy efficient boilers and radiators.

Wardrobes are also constructed insitu into the bedroom spaces to make the best use of the space for the new tenants.

The kitchen and bathroom materials are selected from 3 key supply chain members with durable long term maintenance free guarantees and replacement guarantees. The floor finishes are durable and tough to all areas to assist in the life cycle costing of the property.

The Programme:

The Programme commenced with our appointment with Portman Estates in April 2008 for 3 years, although the 1st phase of works were not issued until September 2008.

So far we have commenced 8 properties with an average value of £70k per unit and handed over 6 properties defect free.

Each unit programme is between 8-16 weeks depending on the size of the project and extent of works.
