Brief Description:We were appointed by The Mayor and Burgess of The London Borough of Islington as main contractor to build this state of the art sustainable changing room building. The building incorporates an office for the park keeper, a teaching/training room, two 16 person changing rooms, two smaller changing rooms, public WC, maintenance storage and plant room. The building incorporates a number of environmental features such as a green roof, solid timber construction, solar thermal panel water heating, biomass boiler, heat exchange mechanical ventilation system, rainwater harvesting, energy efficient lighting, under floor heating and upgraded insulation. CG Interiors were responsible for all aspects of the construction, including the electrical, mechanical and plumbing works. We were also responsible for design of the mechanical and electrical services.

Contract Duration: 48 weeks Contract Sum: £960,000 The Programme:Works commenced in September 2009 and was completed in August 2010. Whilst we encountered several hurdles with weather due to the timing of the contract and late commencement due to contracts, the project was delivered prior to the other park improvements programme.
Design & Innovation: The offices and facilities were designed and finished to a very high standard to provide the landlord with an attractive let able space.
All the finishes and products went through a vigorous selection procedure with all parties input. The lifts were replaced with a 3rd lift being added to the existing 2.
