Brief Description: We were appointed by LB Haringey to carry out the complete refurbishment and fire reinstatement following a vicious arson attack at the Winkfield Resources Centre.
The roof structure was completely destroyed by the fire which created many issues in terms of the stability of the structure and hazards in working. All the finishes and mechanical/electrical installations were also completely damaged. The roof was hand crafted and had to be remade to replicate the existing design in its entirety; our own craftsmen spent 2 weeks on site remaking all the components by hand to produce identical results. Design, Health & Safety: We are pleased to say that despite the hazardous conditions left by the fire, our works were completed accident free and safe methods were utilised to overcome the risks involved here.
Our operatives worked extremely hard in the construction of this project in particular with the handmade rafters. Due to the installation of a moveable wall the main hall space can now be utilised for a number of different functions. Client: Haringey Council
