Client Contact: Jenny Hong Project: Guys Hospital Tower Works: Asbestos removal Contract Duration: 14 weeks Contract Sum: £170,000 Brief Description: This was a sensitive project for the trust as it involved working near Aspergillum fungus sufferers who are susceptible to dusty environments.
As a combined project Cranegates Ltd carried out the asbestos removal over 3 floors, removing ceilings, floor tiles and flues, whilst CG Interiors provided logistics and carried out the soft strip of all walls, ceilings, partition walls etc. and completed the builders works. During the building works we used a local exhaust system, fitted with an adapted hepa filter giving 99.9% filtration thus preventing heavy airborne dust particles. Client: Real Time Civil Engineering

All works were carried out under fully controlled conditions including the exposure of the service duct by removing the concrete slab and sub-soil. Client Contact: Mark Davis Project: Netherne Hospital Works: Asbestos removal Contract Duration: 12 weeks Contract Sum: £1,000,000 Brief Description: Built in 1905 Netherne Hospital was one of the largest asylums in the south east. As part of the regeneration of the area Gleeson Homes demolished parts of the hospital to form Netherne on the Hill Village.
Cranegates Ltd was employed to remove all of the asbestos from service tunnels, service ducts, corridors, wards, boiler houses, satellite buildings and roof voids. Using a team of 20 operatives we progressed around the site until all had been removed. Following the removal Cranegates Ltd carried out a lot of the soft strip and enabling works for Gleeson, and was perhaps the first time we thought about diversifying into a builder’s work package as CG Interiors.
