Project Name

Billericay Police Station was converted by CG Interiors to conform to the Disability Discrimination Act. We removed the existing ramp, front entrance steps, entrance doors and public counter. We converted the existing office, formed a new disabled toilet facility along with other internal office alterations to assist disabled persons accessibility.

CG Interiors were originally commissioned to carry out the soft strip demolitions and builders work on the existing building. Additional work packages included: - roofing, flooring, new internal block work walls, suspended ceilings, plastering, painting and decorating, structural openings for a new lift installation and new services including the renewal of major plant on the roof were also undertaken.

This project was to construct an extension to the school to allow for the installation of a new lift. The scope included construction of a new entrance ramp and canopy, alterations to the ground, first and second floor classrooms and refurbishment of existing toilet facilities.

As of April 2010 Britain has implemented a feed-in tariff in addition to its current renewable energy quota scheme. The Programme, known as the Microgeneration Feed-In Tariff applies to small-scale generation of electricity, paying a fixed sum for eligible technologies.

For each unit (kilowatt hour) that is generated from renewable means, such as solar panels, the property owner gains a generation grant payment. If the unit is used on-site you also do not have to buy the unit in, and save the cost of buying that unit as well as receiving the generation grant payment. If the unit is not used on-site and is exported from site into the national grid you will qualify for an export payment of 3 pence per unit. Your specific situation will need to be calculated based on energy usage and the terms of your utility supplier contract
