One of the countries leading names in the safe removal, identification and disposal of asbestos has moved its charitable arm up a gear to pledge its support to one of the largest self-funding and deserving charities in Yorkshire. Cranegates Supports Saviours of Top Gear PresenterCranegates, part of the CG Group with offices in Essex and Yorkshire have pledged their support to the Yorkshire Air Ambulance, the saviour of many lives, but more recently were on-hand to fly to the rescue of Top Gear presenter Richard Hammond after his life-threatening accident last year. Over The next 12 months, the fleet of Cranegates Yorkshire Air Ambulance Taxis, which promote the asbestos services side of the business throughout the cities of Sheffield and Leeds, will be liveried upto advertise the business whilst donating 8p from each journey to the cause and helping to keep the two air ambulances in service and save lives. The Yorkshire Air Ambulance operate a lifesaving rapid response helicopter service across the Yorkshire region, ensuring seriously injured persons are never more than an average 10 minutes away from hospital. They strive to get paramedic care to patients within the crucial ‘Golden Hour’ and aim to attend critical cases within the ‘Platinum Ten Minutes’. Their aim is to offer help in emergency situation restricted access areas which are difficult or impossible for road ambulances to reach quickly, i.e. coastal, rural or mountainous areas. The company has also installed the vehicles with in-cab close circuit television (CCTV) to help ensure driver and passenger safety whilst travelling.
